If you are passionate about sustainability and the environment, I really can't see a better experience during your studies than what LUGO has to offer. I joined LUGO during my Master in International Relations and it definitely influenced my career plans for the future. As Communication Coordinator at LUGO, I had the opportunity to get to know all the activities taking place and to learn the most effective ways to communicate about environmental issues to others. This has helped me a lot in my current position as a trainee at the Council of the European Union in Brussels. At the Council, I work in the Environmental Management office (ironically enough, informally called the Green Office) collaborating a lot in awareness campaigns and initiatives regarding environmental issues and sustainable initiatives. With other trainees, we also launched a volunteering project to raise awareness among the staff of the Council on how to reduce their consumption of disposable objects and how to sort properly their waste.

Surely, LUGO played a crucial role in teaching me how to observe the environment around you and how to understand which topics you could tackle to make it more sustainable. It was indeed not only a fun and interesting experience but also an enriching one that for sure influenced me as a person and shaped my future career objectives.
