Our world is suffering
This piece was written for the Green Office’s Spring Poetry competition, on the theme: Environmental Guilt, which took place between the months of April-May 2022.
****
It is crying and we are
Refusing to see its tears.
It is wounded badly, and
We are neglecting its wounds.
Its surface is screaming
How much more blood
You gonna spill?
I am tired!
How much more
You gonna pollute the air?
I can’t breathe
My seas are rustled because of you.
My parts are melting because of you.
My shield is diminishing because of you.
How long do you think
You can survive sun without it?
