I took this picture in The Hague. It reminds me of a moment in time, when everything stops and suddenly life appears very still. It makes me think about all that was before it turned into sand and everything that walked on it and left its mark. Just as we, humans, leave a mark on our surroundings, for good or bad.

I walk alone on this endless path.
